They claim that the delays in the change of ownership, which have dragged on since the end of last season, influenced the decision of manager Dean Saunders to walk away.

A draft copy of a revised sales agreement was exchanged on Thursday with some pre-agreed points changed in a way that was regarded totally unreasonable and unacceptable. The current owners say that discussions with other interested parties, believed to be ex-player Ashley Ward, will re-open if the deadline is not met.
The Wrexham Supporters’ Trust (WST) said the delays ‘rested with the club and disclosure of information’.
