The new television deal and firmer cost control have boosted interest.   One might add the strength of the American economy which at the moment seems to be the most resilient in the world with what looks like a good and sustainable growth rate despite the trubulations of the oil sector.   The main deterrent to investment is the threat of relegation, something unknown to US sports franchises.
