Sky Blues could go on sale again

Respected football administration expert Brendan Guilfoyle thinks that Coventry City may have to be put up for sale again as the preferred bidder, Sisu-linked Otium Entertainments Ltd., could fail the fit and proper persons test.

Respected football administration expert Brendan Guilfoyle thinks that Coventry City may have to be put up for sale again as the preferred bidder, Sisu-linked Otium Entertainments Ltd., could fail the fit and proper persons test.

The Football League have said they will work work with Otium and the test is far from stringent.  However, Guilfoyle thinks that it may fail on the criterion of security of tenure at their ground.   Alternative ground shares have been talked about, but there is no agreement with a club.

It now looks as if it will be at least a month before the Football League comes to any decision which would be perilously close to the start of the season.
