Medium-term uncertainty at United

The death of Malcolm Glazer will have no immediate effect on Manchester United.   He never visited Old Trafford and was never listed as owner of the club.  His sons Joel and Avram are co-chairmen.

The 90 per cent of the shares not listed on the New York Stock Exchange are split between Joel and Avram and their siblings Bryan, Kevin, Edward and Darcie.   Little is known about the intentions of the last three and this does create some uncertainty in the medium term.   Eventually, more of the club might be sold in a float.
