It is well known that the European Commission has been investigating a number of clubs to see whether they are in breach of the state aid rules established by the Treaty of Rome. Real Madrid and PSV Eindhoven are among the clubs under investigation.

However, rather more surprisingly, there appears to be Commission interest in Swansea City. This was only drawn to my attention this week and admittedly the link I have is dated with the Swansea material in the comments section, but it appears to be well evidenced. (Manchester City is also discussed, but there is not believed to be an ongoing investigation).
It is also believed that there has been a citizen complaint fron Eastern Europe over West Ham and the Olympic Stadium issue.
