The club appears to be in breach of the Football League’s new ‘owners and directors’ rule which requires clubs to give prior notification of a takeover so that the new owners can be approved as ‘fit and proper persons’. Leicester have now submitted some financial information, but it is apparently not complete and the takeover has not been approved by the League.
