Wolves have decided to embark on a phased re-build of their Molineux stadium. They did consider leaving the ground that has been their home for 121 years, but a search revealed no alternative sites. The area is highly developed and the present site is conveniently located close to Wolverhampton city centre.

The area is highly developed and the present site is conveniently located close to Wolverhampton city centre.
The plans will take four years to undertake and will start with the demolition of the Stan Cullis stand. There will be some loss of capacity while the work is under way. The £40m cost is ring fenced and will not affect the transfer budget.
