Vale fans unhappy with board

Nevertheless, Mo Chaudry and his £3m investment offer have been sent packing by the board.   Now Darts legend Phil Taylor, who is a lifelong fan of the Valiants, has said that he would seriously consider investment in the club if the board re-thought their position.   Taylor admitted that he was in a difficult position because he was friendly both with chairman Bill Bratt and also Mo Chaudry.

From the outside this all looks like obduracy on the part of the board, but no doubt they have their reasons.  It could, of course, all be a clash of personalities.   But it must be quite painful for fans of the Burslem club to see Stoke City three divisions ahead of them and one would think that the board would welcome new investment.

The most famous shareholder at Vale is Robbie Williams.
