The Texan takeover saga at Dundee FC continues. Dundee benefactor Bill Colvin remains hopeful the proposed investment at Dens Park will take place.

On Tuesday, Colvin, who’s already ploughed in a six-figure sum over the past three years, was due in London to meet with American partner Tim Keyes to discuss the latest developments surrounding their £1.5 million plan.

They’ve seen majority shareholders — the Dundee Supporters’ Society — ask for a list of conditions to be met. That’s led to speculation the deal was on the brink of collapse. Colvin has moved to dispel that and expressed optimism all will come out well in the end.

There’s no question Colvin believes the best chance of a successful Dundee lies in this deal and he’s been convinced by the motives of the American arm of his consortium. It would also seem that most Dundee fans think that the deal is the best way forward for the club.
