It now looks as if a proposed acquisition of 30 per cent of the club by American investors will not go ahead. The Supporters’ Trust, which owns 21 per of the club, has welcomed the news that a proposed £30m deal with American billionaire John Jay Moores will not proceed. Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins insisted that it would only happen if everyone was in agreement that it was a good thing for the club.
