Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) over a naming rights deal for the redeveloped White Hart Lane. Negotiations have stepped up after Spurs heard that QIA’S association with Barcelona is likely to end next summer. However, Spurs have also approached a large number of other companies.

Spurs are believed to have offered a ten year package they value at £150m to potential partners. The club had hoped to secure £25m a year for naming rights for the new stadium, but have had to downgrade expectations to £15m a year in a challenging market.
West Ham have yet to complete a naming rights deal for the London Stadium. Indian technology company the Mahindra Group are front runners having offered £6m a year. This would enhance their profile in the UK.
Chelsea failed to secure a suitable deal after putting the rights for Stamford Bridge out to tender in 2009. Arsenal obtained a £100m deal with Emirates over ten years when moving into their new ground in 2006, which has since been extended.
