Sisu try to restart Sky Blue talks

Coventry City owners Sisu are trying to get talks restarted on their tenancy of the Ricoh Arena.  They have made a direct appeal to the chief executive of the city council, Martin Reeves.   As has been the case for some time, the main sticking point is not the rent, where Arena Coventry Limited have made a substantially reduced offer, but matchday revenues.

However, Coventry City Council’s patience has been sorely tried by Sisu over the years.   It is not surprising that they have shown an interest in the overtures of American tycoon Preston Haskell IV. Council leader John Mutton met him at the Ricoh last Saturday.

Coventry City have given up on their appeal against the ten point deduction made for going into administration.   They must have realised that they had little chance of success, despite splitting the business into two companies.
