An open letter has been sent to Venky’s, the owners, by a group of season ticket holders claiming to represent 4,000 fans, although these claims are always difficult to verify.   They point out that season ticket sales are down by a thousand on last year, although economic factors could play a part there.

They want more communication from and dialogue with the owners and Venky’s have sent family representatives from India to Lancashire to try and improve matters.   They also want the owners to consider replacing manager Steve Kean and in a discussion on Radio 5 this morning the question was raised about whether this was something fans should be calling for.    Certainly there is a risk that the call for better communication could be overshadowed by what could be interpreted as an attack on the manager.
