He was seen at a home match at Plymouth Argyle, but this was explained to be part of a holiday in the south-west and Argyle denied that any discussions had taken place. When he turned up at their away match at Oldham Athletic, it was pointed out that he was a guest of the home directors. None of these explanations satisified the green army who were reported to be red with anger at his potential involvement. To complete the picture, he has been seen at Morecambe.
