Peter Ridsdale has admitted that he would love to get back into football.  He reckons that he did a decent job at Cardiff, although his tenure there was not without controversy.   His period at Leeds earned him a black mark in the eyes of many fans.

The question is where?   Ridsdale has categorically denied any interest in Charlton Athletic after rumours of a £11m takeover there.   He was seen at a home match at Plymouth Argyle, but this was explained to be part of a holiday in the south-west and Argyle denied that any discussions had taken place.  When he turned up at their away match at Oldham Athletic, it was pointed out that he was a guest of the home directors.   None of these explanations satisified the green army who were reported to be red with anger at his potential involvement.   To complete the picture, he has been seen at Morecambe.

As far as Charlton is concerned, normally reliable sources are indicating that there are several bids on the table, one rumoured to involve members of the Sainsbury family.
