A number of foreign consortiums have held talks, the latest headed by Italian businessman Francesco Becchetti.   It has been suggested that these talks were brokered by Gianni Paladini, the former QPR chairman who had a controversial tenure at Loftus Road.   However, these reports have been emphatically denied by the Royals.

One would think that Reading would be an attractive prospect, located in the prosperous and heavily populated Thames Valley with a modern stadium and Premier League experience.   However, it may not be seen as glamorous enough by some prospective purchasers.
