After Ivica Osim became the president of the FIFA and UEFA-backed Normalization committee for the Bosnian FA in April, the famous manager has managed to introduce several new things into the system.

Ten days ago he had a meeting with one of the sponsors of the Bosnian FA, the telecom operator Eronet.  As it was reported in the media, Osim suggested that Eronet could expand their sponsorship to the league as well since their cooperation was very successful so far. According to Osim, if the league was renamed to “Eronet Premijer liga“ the money could be used for further development of the Bosnian football and Eronet would expand their media presence in the country.

The idea was welcomed by the media and fans and would certainly add new opportunities for the Bosnian football and potential sponsors. Vilim Primorac, the president of Eronet board of directors, stated that the proposal was very interesting and that it would definitely be considered in the coming weeks.

However, it seems that the meeting has caught the interest of other potential sponsors as well. BH Telecom, another telecom operator in Bosnia & Herzegovina, yesterday also expressed their interest to sponsor the Bosnian league. As they are also the sponsors of the Bosnian FA, they are definitely going to consider the option and have already held a meeting with the Normalization committee for the Bosnian FA in Sarajevo.

Slavica Pecikoza, the spokesperson for the Bosnian FA, stated that Osim has held meetings with both companies but that nothing has been decided yet. According to her, there is a chance that new potential investors could contact them in the following weeks, either from Bosnia & Herzegovina or abroad and that the best financial offer will be chosen. They are open for talks with potential sponsors and the final decision will be made before the start of the new season which is scheduled for 6th of August.
