Outlook at Rangers better than weather

The adverse winter weather conditions in Scotland have affected both large and small clubs.   The cash flow lost has been much larger for Scottish Premier League clubs, but smaller clubs are finding it a struggle to keep meeting their bills.

The overall financial position at Rangers is, however, stabilising after a challenging period.  The club estimates that it made £18.7m out of its Champions League campaign, a more cautious total than some media estimates.   Debt of £30m is substantial but not unmanageable given the size of the business.   There is also the possibility of a takeover by mid-January.
