A winding up petition brought against Notts County by HM Revenue and Customs has been dismissed in less than a minute by the High Court.   The club, which only learnt about the petition on Friday, was always confident that it did not have a case to answer.

The club said in a statement, ‘The board will be seeking legal advice regarding taking action against HMRC and the officer personally responsible for this and will seek to recover all costs associated with defending the action plus punitive damages for the harm suffered by the football club.’
