One difficulty would be getting sufficiently attractive games given that Champions League and Europa League commitments during the week would rule some teams out. Even if an attractive game was included, a lot of people go out on Friday nights and ratings might be poor.
Moreover, Championship games are often televised on Friday nights, not that that would stop the Premier League if they thought it was in their interests.
It would also mean one less game at the traditional kick off time of 3 p.m. on Saturdays, an issue that has been concerning fan groups.
