The Laithwaite Community Stadium has great potential for development and 270 flats could be built around the ground.  It is believed that Woking Borough Council would be supportive of new homes, but obtaining planning permission could lead to a delay in any takeover.   It is hoped, however, that a deal will be completed by the end of the year.
