Kettering Town FC given stay of execution

After yet another deadline was missed, Kettering Town FC have been given a further stay of execution by the Southern Premier League.  This weekend’s game against Barwell has been called off, but the club has had its transfer embargo lifted so that it can recruit players and field a side.

The club remains confident that investors will eventually be found.   Apparently there is one group interested in buying Nene Park, the former home of Rushden & Diamonds, and another that could rescue the club.

Allowing repeated stays of execution eventually worked at Truro City, so perhaps it will for the Poppies as well.
