Kettering explore survival options

Kettering Town are exploring various options to ensure the survival of the financially troubled club.  They claim that they are owed over £420k in sponsorship money.   This may well be the case, but if it hasn’t been paid on time, it is not likely to be paid in the short run when the club needs cash flow and any settlement may fall far short of the stated amount.

The club is dealing with four enquiries about either a takeover or new investment.   Among them is one from former director Lee Thorn although this does not seem to have gone down too well.

Until recently this part of Northamptonshire supported two Conference clubs.  Kettering are now playing in the former Rushden and Diamonds ground at Nene Park, but they are unlikely to attract many Diamonds supporters given the rivalry that existed between the two clubs.
