The 22,000-seater stadium will cost £38m and work will now start on funding plans, but the club’s bank is supportive. The present ground at Pittodrie will be sold for housing. The project also includes training facilities and a 3,000-seat arena for Highland League side Cove Rangers, quite a generous provision given their average attendance.
