Further concerns at Argyle

While there are currently two serious bidders to take Plymouth Argyle out of administration, both of them are concerned about the level of secured debt associated with the club and want to see it reduced.   It has been estimated that the outstanding debt on Home Park is equivalent to the value of the stadium.

Truro City chairman Kevin Heaney appears to be the current front runner.  However, he is a somewhat controversial figure and the Supporters’ Trust at Argyle has issued a statement expressing concern that his bid appears to be based on property speculation.   They would prefer to see a future based on cooperation between the owner, the City Council and the supporters.

Argyle players have been asked by the administrator to go without pay again during April.
