There is a big range in the costs per head of population.  In the UK it is £26.75, followed by Hong Kong on £12.10, reflecting the intense competition in the local market.   Norway is £9 and Australia £1.43. Reflecting large populations, the US comes in at £0.32 and China at £0.01.

More generally, these figures reflect the extent to which football has become a globalised product and marketing opportunity.
