Football savings accounts not a good deal

Football fans are receiving next to nothing from so-called ‘affinity’ savings accounts.   Average interest rates are now a mere 0.14 per cent which is low even in the context of current low interest rates.  However, they can be a good deal for clubs.   Norwich City have earned £3.16m in this way over the last thirteen years.

However, if fans want to support their clubs financially, is there a more cost effective way of doing it?
