Farnborough are waiting for a qualified buyer, coming to the end of due diliigence, to decide whether to purchase the club. The club had to be bailed out last season by manager Spencer Day with a six figure sum.
Day, who owns 50 per cent of the club, argues that it is a snip given that it could be bought for £1m. The stadium alone cost £3m. However, it has no use other than as a football ground and most clubs lose money, particularly if they want to progress. The club is currently running on what is reckoned to be the lowest playing budget in the Blue Square South.
The club had to be reformed in 2007 from the ashes of Farnborough Town.
