Things are going well on the pitch and a return to the Football League certainly looks achievable, although the Conference is notoriously difficult to get out of with only one automatic promotion place and many former league clubs languishing there (which is not to say that there is not some good football played).

I was talking to someone involved with the Supporters’ Trust last week and he reckoned that many of the biggest financial challenges would follow promotion.   However, he also pointed out that the club has a good catchment area with little direct competition so it should be possible to achieve good gates with the right standard of  football.
