It is always challenging to run a non-league club in London and its environs.   Geographical identities are more blurred.   In the case of Ebbsfleet, re-branding Gravesend and Northfleet after the name of an international station probably did not help.    Admittedly, it is also a reach of the river Thames, but the club that called itself after the river had one of the shortest histories in the Football League.
