Documents obtained by the Daily Telegraph relating to communications between Chelsea and Hammersmith Borough Council suggest that the club still has an interest in the nearby Earl’s Court site.  It would have many pluses, including not being far from the Bridge and enjoying good transport links.  It had been thought an unlikely destination as the land was earmarked for housing, but that could be changed.

Chelsea also restate their interest in the White City site and argue that Queen’s Park Rangers should not be privileged by the council in relation to this location over other teams in the borough.

Chelsea have moved to reassure fans over the possible move, stating that Roman Abramovich would not profit from a relocation.   They have said that fans opposed to the move will be allowed to distribute leaflets at the ground, subject to health and safety considerations.
