Chairman Anderson spoke out on the club website about the sale of Zach Clough to Nottingham Forest for £2.5m, claiming that he was left with no alternative after Dean Holdsworth refused to provide any funds to financially support the club.

Chairman Anderson spoke out on the club website about the sale of Zach Clough to Nottingham Forest for £2.5m, claiming that he was left with no alternative after Dean Holdsworth refused to provide any funds to financially support the club.
Holdsworth hit back, saying that the proposed sale of Clough was never brought to his attention, nor was it approved by the board. He also said that he had not refused to put money in, but was unwilling to advance funds until he received the proper financial information on which he could base an investment.
The two owners are also in dispute over a high interest loan secured by Holdsworth’s company Sports Shield which helped finance the takeover. Trading losses for this season are estimated to be £11m.
