Barnet FC will be playing on a different branch of the Northern Line after the club announced that it will be moving the five miles to Edgware by the beginning of the next season.   The Football League has given formal permission for the move.

The club has been at Underhill for 106 years, but negotiations with Barnet Council to extend the lease have finally come to an end.   The Council’s stance has been described as ‘intransigent’ by the club.  The new ground at The Hive is planned to have a capacity of 5,100.
