The playing budget has been cut back from £3k to £2k a week and like many non-league clubs they rely on recruiting former academy players who haven’t made the grade in league football.  What I had underestimated is how high ground maintenance costs can be.

The commercial director has a target of £75k a year.   One ingenious idea the club came up, originally suggested as an April Fool joke, was using beach huts for corporate hospitality.
