An Australian consortium is bidding to take control of Charlton Athletic from unpopular Belgian owner Roland Duchatelet.
The plan is to make Charlton ‘Australia’s football club’. Promising Australian talent would be showcased at The Valley.

A rather low price of £20m has been quoted. It is possible that this may only cover the club and the ground and training ground would be retained by the current owner and rented out.
The capital raise process is being undertaken by Melbourne-based Henslow Pty ltd. and a feasibility study was commissioned from Deloitte Sports Business.
