Of course, to some extent, such warnings may be a ploy to put pressure on the Japan-based directors to deliver the promised cash or to encourage others to provide funds. In the meantime, the fire sale of players is continuing, but the knowledge that it is a fire sale can make it harder to get a good price. Whatever else one says about Ridsdale, I think that he would handle such negotiations well.
