Absence of Rangers could hit Motherwell

Motherwell are concerned that they could be tipped into administration if Rangers are thrown out of the Scottish Premier League (SPL).   However, they also think they could take a hit if Rangers stay in because fans might boycott the game.

They reckon they could lose £900,000 if Rangers were not in the competition.  Two-thirds of this would result from the lose of SPL revenues from sponsorship and the television deal.  Another £275k would be contributed by gate money and £40k by matchday hospitality and sponsorships.
