There is an interesting section on his time at Barnsley which is often forgotten.  One person interviewed in Leeds says that Mr Ridsdale always believed in ‘jam tomorrow’.   However, journalist David Conn, who has specialised in football finance issues, says that Mr Ridsdale is one of the most professionally qualified people around in football and is keen to re-build his reputation after what happened at Leeds.  However, as David Conn emphasises, the Championship is the most difficult place to be for a club, although the emphasis is on the Premiership.

Cardiff do have a new stadium and remain a promising destination for new investment if it can be attracted.
