The club was originally founded in 1890 as Yeovil Football Club. In 1895 they became Yeovil Casuals and in 1907 changed to Yeovil Town. A famous non-league club, Yeovil eventually won promotion to the Football League proper (as Conference champions) in 2003. Home games are played at Huish Park, a 9,600 capacity ground built in 1990.
