Wycombe Wanderers Football Club plc

The club was founded in 1887 and from 1896 they played in the Southern League, moving to the Great Western Suburban League in 1908 and to the Spartan League after the First World War. By 1921 Wycombe was playing in the Isthmian League and by 1985 they were promoted to the Football Conference (then the Gola League). The club was eventually promoted to The Football League proper in 1993. The ‘Chairboys’ moved grounds in 1990 to a new stadium at Adams Park (capacity 10,000 spectators).
