Valencia Club de Futbol was founded in 1919, and has won six La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey trophies, three UEFA Cups and one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. Home matches are played at the Mestalla (capacity: 55,000) but there are plans to move to a new stadium (dubbed the ‘Nou Mestalla’) in the north-west of the city which has a planned capacity of 75,000.
