PSV (Philips Sport Vereniging - trans: Philips Sports Union) is a general sports club (comprising 17 different sports sections) whose professional football team plays in the Dutch Eredivisie. The club was founded in 1913 as a works team for employees of electronics conglomerate Philips (then called 'Koninginnedag'). Naturally, Philips are the main club sponsor and PSV have worn the logo on their shirts since 1982, the year jersey sponsorships were introduced in the Eredivisie.
