The club is based at Boundary Park (capacity: 10,638), Oldham. Originally founded as Pine Villa Football Club in 1895, the club became Oldham Athletic in 1899. The current limited company (Oldham Athletic (2004) Football Club Ltd.) was formed in February 2004 when a group of American-based expatriate British businessmen bought the club after the previous A.F.C. Ltd went had been in administration during the final months of 2003.
