Could West Ham overtake Spurs?

This article argues that West Ham could overtake Spurs on and off the pitch.   There is no doubt that the move to the Olympic Stadium represents a big opportunity for West Ham.   For example, fast train connections from Stratford International will present new marketing opportunities in Kent, taking it beyond its traditional base in East London and Essex.

For Spurs, the need is to finalise the project to re-develop White Hart Lane into a major stadium.   This has encountered all sorts of difficulties and relatively poor public transport remains a challenge.  Nevertheless, it presents a big opportunity for Spurs.   They are more focused on overtaking Arsenal than looking over their shoulder at West Ham.

I’m a bit puzzled by the article’s reference to the Boleyn Ground as ‘enervating’.   That’s not a word I would use to describe it.
