The club is highly dependent on television revenue which accounts for around three-quarters of its income.   But six other clubs in the Premier League are even more reliant on this source of funds which will benefit middle ranking clubs even more with the new deal.   That is why Southampton’s aspiration to be in the Champions League in five years may not be unrealistic.
