It would probably have been more attractive if members had had the chance to influence team selections, but the manager was understandably opposed to have seen someone choosing players from a laptop in their living room when they had not seen them in training or perhaps even at a live match.
Some ideas just never take off and probably rightly so. Another example would be the 39th Premiership match to be played abroad which has now been dropped.
