The Sheikha is known to be on good terms with Prince Charles who shares her interest in charitable work.
For many years Barcelona refused to have any logo on its shirts. The club then paid for displaying the Unicef logo. But with accumulated debts of £309.5m and a loss of £64.3m last year, Barcelona has to deal with a new financial reality. The £125m contract for the shirt sponsorship over five years will certainly come in handy.
The next move from Qatar is expected to be for a Premiership club, but it is uncertain when this will take place.
