Former owner Barry Hearn has launched a scathing attack on owner Franceso Becchetti and now regrets selling the club to him. However, he is not prepared to buy the club back.
He would be prepared to ‘help’ a proposed supporters takeover. He still owns Brisbane Road, although it is now controlled by the trustees of a pension fund who would be obliged to require a rent from any owner of the club.
Hearn considers that Orient would not be on the brink of ruin if they had been allowed to move into the London Stadium with West Ham.
