Lifetime vice-president John Mouteney commented, ‘What Munto did was wrong. But a lot of good did come out of it.’ Perhaps any publicity is good publicity: ‘Before nobody from local TV really bothered coming to Notts County. Quite often, the evening paper wouldn’t even have a single story about us. [With Sven being at the club] we were always in the news and it raised the profile of the club.’
County are just above the relegation places in League 1, so their first task is to consolidate in the division.
