In a sense, it is no surprise that Palace have not find a buyer. There are a number of clubs available for purchase and fewer buyers out there than there were. The club does not own the ground and it operates in a relatively crowded London football market. Admittedly, all the Premiership sides are north of the river but it would need deep pockets to bring Palace up to that level.
A groundshare is mentioned as one option, but there is not a suitable ground within easy travelling distance, particularly along busy London roads. Moreover, most of the costs that a club incurs are its wage bill.
