This season Milton Keynes Dons have been watched by an average of 8,721 people in a stadium that holds 22,000, which means stadium:mk has the fourteenth most empty seats per league game in the country. A planned redevelopment of the ground next year will raise the capacity by 10,000 so, unless crowds go up, MK Dons will play to the most empty seats of the 92 league clubs.

There would be no less than 23,279 unoccupied seats. As it is, the stadium looks a little odd with an undeveloped upper tier, although the existing seats do have the most leg room of any stadium that I have visited. The club’s development plan involves other uses for the stadium which will make the expansion financially viable.
Elsewhere, the match between Queen’s Park and Rangers at Hampden Park drew a crowd of 30,117, which is more than the combined attendance at the club’s past 55 home games.
